Temporary suspension of international mail delivery to the United States

 

Dear our valued Members,

We have just been informed of the significant delay in the delivery of international mails to the United States due to flight reduction and suspension resulting from the global spread of new coronavirus infections.

Although having made every possible effort to cooperate with airlines and the US Postal Service in order to ship mails promptly, due to the drastic reduction and suspension of flights, the shipping capacity of Japan Post has decreased significantly.

Therefore, from April 24 (Friday) onwards, EMS international mail to the United States will temporarily be stopped.

The EMS items that have been collected by EMS so far will be shipped sequentially. However, it may take up to 4 months to ship the items with the current shipping volume.

Besides the USA, there are some other countries that EMS has temporarily stopped providing service.

Due to the worldwide spread of new-type Corona virus infectious disease which causes drastic reduction in flights and suspension of aircraft, there is a high possibility that international mail to some countries / regions will be delayed.

Hence, it may take about 2-3 weeks for parcel to arrive.

Besides, acceptance of international mail items, especially EMS, to some countries/territories may be temporarily suspended depending on the pandemic situation.

Consolidation of Card Settlement Gateways

As part of our commitment and continued efforts to maximize commissions for all members by streamlining operation and minimizing operational costs, it has been decided that the USD based payment gateway which is currently used by NFR members will be integrated into JPY based payment gateway as of April 1st (Wed).

Therefore, the settlement currency applied from April 1st, 2020 (Wed) onwards will be Japanese Yen.

This new policy involves the change in product price’s currency as follows:
Initial price: JPY22,222 / box (equivalent to USD200)
Repeat price: JPY13,888 / box (equivalent to USD125)

Card Issuance in Russia

We’d like to inform you of a change in regulatory requirements in Russia relating to the issuing of Payoneer prepaid cards. Due to the recent requirements of Russian regulatory authorities, Payoneer can no longer issue new Payoneer prepaid Mastercard® cards to customers who have a Russian billing or shipping address.

The change will take effect as of February 27th, 2020.

It is important to note that:

  • All existing card holders can continue to use their cards.
  • This change will not affect any other Payoneer services. Customers can still withdraw funds to their local bank account and make payments, according to their account eligibility.

In order to ensure that Russian payees can continue to enjoy their services, Payoneer have created a solution that will allow Russian users to register for a Payoneer Account, which will enable them to receive payments to the Account and utilize other Payoneer services.

Payoneer Account as a payment method provides users with virtual balances in several different currencies to receive funds and then payees can withdraw funds to their personal bank account.
